Vice Admirals are considered to be Patrons of the Society and will receive a membership card showing their rank and giving them a 10% discount on all Society’s admission fees, usage fees and list price of Society store items. They will also receive a membership certificate (showing their rank and suitable for framing) as well as access to the Society’s monthly online newsletter, “Wreck Diver.” They will also receive, when it is in place, have access to the Society’s online library.
They will also receive free copies of the annual expedition reports (for that year) and will have their names listed in the Society’s online quarterly journal (International Journal of the Sea Research Society™).
Vice Admirals will be furnished an official Sea Research Society pennant showing their rank and the membership year.
They will also receive free membership in the Society’s Undersea Explorers Club and will be invited to participate in some of the Society’s expeditions. (Note: Additional fees may be charged for participation in certain expeditions.)
Patches for the rank of Vice Admiral will show the rank and the appropriate membership year.
Although the benefits for Vice Admirals are the same as those for Rear Admirals, they have the honor of the higher rank in recognition of their higher level of patronage to the Society.
